Mass General last week announced the launch of a new MGH Center for Immigrant Health. This interdisciplinary center will be led by Rahel Bosson, MD, of Psychiatry, Fiona Danaher, MD, of Pediatrics and Rashmi Jasrasaria, MD, of Internal Medicine. The mission is to improve the health and well-being of immigrants across all departments and clinical sites at Mass General and within the broader community. The team includes an Immigrant Health Resource Specialist with plans to add community health workers with mental health training and a nutritionist with cross-cultural expertise.
Rahel Bosson, MD is a third-year psychiatry resident in the Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Residency Program at Harvard Medical School. Before moving to Boston to complete a second residency in psychiatry, she served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky and was the Medical Director of the Refugee Health Program (RHP) at the University of Louisville Global Health Center (GHC).
