Janet Wozniak, MD was recently interviewed as part of the Charged series of podcasts. Charged is a production of Massachusetts General Hospital which highlights the inspiring stories of women at MGH who are leaders in their fields.
Dr. Wozniak began her work at Mass General as a psychiatry resident where she started working with her mentor, Dr. Joseph Biederman. Since the beginning of her career, her research has extended the boundaries of knowledge and treatment in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. She has been a pioneer in the field of pediatric bipolar disorder, and her research has led to a paradigm shift in our understanding of bipolar disorder as a psychiatric illness which may also affect children.
