Giuseppe Raviola, MD, MPH, associate director of the Chester M. Pierce, MD Division of Global Psychiatry and psychiatrist in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, has been awarded the 2021 Bruno Lima Award in Disaster Psychiatry from the American Psychiatric Association (APA). This award recognizes outstanding contributions in the care and understanding of the victims of disaster. Dr. Raviola has also been honored by the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society (MPS) as a 2021 Outstanding Psychiatrist for Advancement of the Profession.
