Annie Kathuria, PhD, research fellow in the Center for Genomic Medicine and the Department of Psychiatry, received a NARSAD Young Investigator Award from the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation. The award recognizes promising investigators to help facilitate innovative research opportunities. Kathuria will use the award to study the cellular-molecular underpinnings of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder using chemical-genetic approaches in human neurons and brain organoids generated from patient-derived stem cells.
